What is the Best Board Room Format?

The best format for a boardroom is one that fits the size of your software characteristics group, meeting subject and desired level interaction. Each meeting layout has advantages and disadvantages. There are several other factors that impact the success of a workshop or conference.

The classic boardroom layout consists of a large table in the middle of the room with seats around it. This style is often used for video conferences and meetings with agendas which require a lively discussion. It can accommodate up to twenty-five people. This style may be best suited for groups that have an established leader who can keep the group on track and lead the group.

The classroom layout is similar to a conference table but with tables closer together. It can hold up to 20 people and improves the participants’ line of sight. This style is better suitable for workshops with smaller groups or group discussions as the boardroom layout can be too crowded for some.

Another popular option for presentations or workshops with more people, the theater layout features rows of seats facing the front of the room. This setup puts the audience in the spotlight and allows speakers to focus their attention on specific delegate or sections. Although it might not be as engaging as other meeting formats however, this setup can help to keep the audience entertained and engaged during sessions lasting more than an hour.
