A Business Computing degree is designed with the goal of advancing your career in mind. Alongside studying a breadth of Information technologies (electronic office programming, databases, and multimedia) you will also be taught the essential aspects of Business like management, marketing, accounting as well as finance and economics. This will equip you with the knowledge and skills to analyze a business-user’s information requirements and to design and implement suitable computer systems.
You will study the core aspects of computing, such as data analysis and software development. You will also gain experience in areas of business like management, consulting and IT operations. You will also gain broader abilities that employers seek in IT professionals like teamwork and leadership.

Many graduates of this course are able to move into jobs that require a mix of IT and business knowledge such as a software developer or project manager. Some opt to work in the grey zone between business and IT, in roles such as IT security officer or consultant.
